Arkive is a company that is building the world’s first decentralized museum. This museum will be powered by blockchain technology, allowing pieces to stay close to their cultural roots. The company has just raised a $9.7 million round of funding and has purchased the original patents for the world’s first electronic computer- the ENIAC.

Others believe this could lead to the loss of cultural identity and the homogenization of society. The decentralization of great treasure ownership can be beneficial to society. It has the potential to distribute wealth more evenly and allow for more cultural inclusion.
